Developing Sustainable Practices as Applied to Strategic Planning, Operations, & Management
Abstract

This workshop will start with a panel discussion on practical aspects of sustainability. Alternatives and depth-of-analysis issues will be discussed by the panelists, who deal with these issues every day. The Workshop will then break into four sections: Water/Wastewater, Building Systems, Greenhouse Gas/Carbon Footprint, and Planning/Policy/Transportation. These interactive sections will work on specific sustainability practices related to their focus area. Two moderators, representing industry and academia, will be assigned to each group. Panelists will be available during the exercise to consult with each group. The final section of the workshop will be the development and discussion of a cohesive strategy formed from the results of each break out section.
