Commercialization Assistance Program (CAP)

The SyracuseCoE Commercialization Assistance Program (CAP) was established in partnership with CenterState CEO (formerly the Metropolitan Development Association) and the Empire State Development Corporation (ESDC) with grants received under the auspices of New York Assemblyman William Magnarelli.

The grants are designed to encourage innovation, product development, and entrepreneurship in the fields of indoor environmental quality, clean and renewable energy, and water resources, and to create jobs and wealth in the 12 counties of Central Upstate New York (Cayuga County, Cortland County, Herkimer County, Jefferson County, Lewis County, Madison County, Oneida County, Onondaga County, Oswego County, Seneca County, St. Lawrence County, and Tompkins County).

New York's Creative Core companies that have benefited from CAP grants include: OrthoSystems, Air Innovations, NuClimate Air Quality Systems, O'Brien & Gere, Taitem Engineering, Galson Laboratories, Rupprecht & Patashnick, Double A Willow, Isolation Sciences, VentoTek, and Widetronix Semiconductors.
